In 1945 America forced the then Japanese Empire to sign the instrument of their surrender in that ended the Pacific Front of World War 2. Now, nearly 70 years later Japan has its people threatened by the same criminals that prey upon all of us in the modern world. In this all people cannot afford to solving problems with 20th century thinking. The difference is, Japan is prohibited from attacking people who threaten its people. While we must never forget the sacrifices made by those who fought in that terrible conflict. There must also come a time to forgive, and forget, and move on. Japan has shown that it can act on its word by those who swore an oath to defend its people. I write this in hopes that Japan can attack its enemies, and ours when it should be allowed to.
