Like it or not High School is a major part of everyone is life and Prom is a big event for most and should be a night in which you celebrate with your friends before you close that chapter on your life.
But, Public schools like Oak Ridge High School still live in the past... Prom is an event that STUDENTS pay for in the public school system that the government funds... Why is it that schools can deny that a prom be equal...? LGBT couples aren't aloud and women still are forced to wear dresses...
The school officials, who are supposed to take care of the student population and help end discrimination... But who are they really hurting?
