The garbage island floating in the Pacific Ocean is about the size of Texas and is likely to double it's size in the next ten years. It weighs 7 million tons and is up to 9 feet deep. This "island" is polluting the Earth's waters. It is also harming the marine life in the water. Once we destroy that ecosystem we can never get it back. The Obama Administration should be trying to come up with a solution that will clean up the garbage island and help the marine animals that have be impacted by it. We don't the children in the future to never know what a clean beach or ocean looks like.
