In June 2013, 29-year old Edward Joseph Snowden revealed serious problems within the NSA's practices, and extreme complications with the Patriot Act. Since then, Snowden has been forced to live within Russia despite being what many consider to be a hero. At first, he was a traitor. Now, people say he was in the right. We need to step up and pardon Edward Snowden, as he offered information that was important to release due to a huge public interest. Pardon Edward Snowden, as he provided the ability for there to be an incredibly important public discussion on security and the Patriot Act. (If both Republicans and Democrats can agree on this issue, that should say a lot about a man like Snowden.)
