Obama's student loan aid initiative is great. However, this program needs to include those with private loans as well. There is a large population of students with private loans that are suffering just as those with federal loans. Those with private loans had not received federal loans for various reasons. For most, it was based on the fact that their parents' income exceeded a certain number. When it comes down to it, most students pay for their loans and not their parents. Why should students be judged based on their parents' financial situation?
Please Obama include those with private loans in your aid initiatives.
