Obey the law: either cut aid to the coup-installed government of Egypt, or obtain a congressional waiver.

The United States government is currently providing hundreds of millions of dollars in military aid to a non-elected, coup-installed Egyptian government. Though the United States may have had national interests in the overthrow of the democratically-elected Islamist government of Mohammed Morsi and its replacement with a pro-Israel military junta, by law (Section 7008 of the U.S. Foreign Operations Appropriations Act), the United States government must suspend all military aid to Egypt until democratic elections occur. The absurd justification from the administration for this continued aid, namely "the law doesn't necessitate that we determine whether or not we are violating it," sets a dangerous precedent for future policy decisions by the Executive. Either stop the aid or get a waiver!
