The richest 1% could now control forever what we see on the web. This is the Apocalypse of the Internet as we know it. This is the end of the democratic promise of the information superhighway for all that had imagined the pioneers of world wide web.
Some access providers like Verizon and Vodafone conduct lobbying hard to create a web for the rich. And without a massive citizen mobilization, they can win and put everyone in danger. The vast majority of Internet traffic is from the U.S. and Europe, so this affects us all. We have no time to lose.
