We believe that, as the Declaration of Independence states, all men are created equal, and to truly accomplish this, we must include Religion. Religion is an important part of many people's lives, even for those who don't have one. As an Atheist, I believe God should not be included in the Pledge of Allegiance, as we are pledging to America, not to someone that some people don't believe in. The pledge is a promise to our country, and we feel that we shouldn't have to promise to someone I don't believe exists. The separation of Church and State means nothing if these violations exist in our everyday lives. Thank you.
