Observe the third Saturday in March Unparentaled Day.

Created by D.W. on November 28, 2016

Dear President Obama,
In America, we have: A name for husbands whose lost their wife (widower). Wife who lost a husband (widow). A child whose lost a parent (s)(orphaned). But we have not come up with a term for parents who have lost a child. I have read, supported or known parents who have lost a child. It's heartbreaking no matter how they died. Whenever I'm aware of a loss, my heart breaks and I want to reach out and acknowledge all parents. Since I know it's not humanly possible, I would like to have unparentaled(which means their parenting has been undone through a child's death) I would like the term used and observed the third Saturday in March.
I can't think of a better way to show how much we care. My goal for acknowledgement is 2017.
Sincerely,
Detria Walker
