Millions of Americans who supported the Iraq invasion are now deeply troubled by the increase in the nation's debt. These patriotic Americans should be given an opportunity to pay their share of the money spent on the Iraq war. At 3 trillion dollars, the average citizen's portion is approximately $10,000.
On the Federal income tax form, above the final signature line, payers may check the box that reads:
"I am a patriot, and as such, have elected to, out of a sense of duty and citizenship, add my share, in the amount of $10,000 per dependent, of the cost of the Iraq War to the total of my tax payments."
All participants in this program will be able to purchase a special flag lapel pin with a large "P" on it. They will be authorized to call themselves "True Patriots"
