Because of the influence of money, citizens do not presently enjoy equal representation in congress.
This petition offers an amendment that gives citizens back equal representation. It will take money out of the politics of congress and the Presidency. It requires the creation of a government administered fund for election campaigns, prohibits the use of private funds to influence elections, and outlaws lobbying of any kind. It will wipe out Citizen's United. It will get corporate influence out of elections. The petition includes a rationale for each part, and consists of three parts: Funding Elections, Eliminating contributions, and outside pay, and prohibiting lobbying. Full text:
