The South Korean government will not allow this single father (in the video in the link above) to register his baby due to her birth mother being absent. Mr. Kim is unable to work because he can not legally register her in day care, and if she becomes ill, the baby is not eligible to receive any medical care. So far, Mr. Kim has been unsuccessful in court in an attempt to have his daughter be recognized as a person. Please sign this petition to ask Mr. Obama to compel the South Korean government to change this arcane law or alternatively offer Mr. Kim and his daughter asylum in the United States. It is important that this little girl be recognized as a person, and Mr. Obama can help.
