Offer Asylum to the LGBT Community in Russia Who Face Great Oppression and Threat of Violence

Created by K.G. on August 26, 2013

to formally offer asylum to the population of Russia whom currently face systematic oppression. Specifically the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Transsexual) community in Russia who through policy of the Russian government may face imprisonment. Whom also face great danger of violence or death from hate groups within Russia that have taken the new government policy in Russia as an acceptable reason to perpetrate unspeakably violent acts on suspected members of the gay community (many of whom are teens or young adults).

Life and liberty are some of the very foundations on which our great nation was built. As such it would be grossly negligent and morally reprehensible to allow any country to deny it's people those rights without some action.
