There are roughly 38 million people living in Canada. Right now, Canada and the United States are culturally very similar. Canada wants to do business with the US but we have significant environmental concerns over Canadian energy production. If we can't come to terms, Canada will eventually sell to someone else. In order to protect our interests, our cultural similarity, and the environment, we the United States, should demand a referendum in Canada on the question of joining the United States. We should reinforce such a referendum with financial incentives. Among the many good reasons we should merge, We believe that adding Canadian territory to the United States would be a massive boon to our stagnate economy.
