While there has been a formal apology for slavery,There needs to be an apology to the African States for the slave trade.
This would help to encourage better relations between African descendants in America and African states
Selected states from West and West Central Africa should be included in the apology based on the numbers of exports taken from those countries. Hopefully this would also encourage European states to enact similar legislation.
