Assist more college level students who are pursuing degrees such as Fire Science, Conservation Law, Paramedical Sciences, etc. by offering grants that are more readily available to students for aid. As of right now, full time public servants must make 120 payments on their Direct Loans before ever qualifying for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program and they all must be on time. This is difficult for many considering the fact that most public service degrees are only 2 year degree programs and in order to receive full time employment in these fields, most require you be 21 years of age. Thus delaying opportunities for servants to gain full time employment in these agencies that are required by the PSLFP. This extends past the 6 month grace period on loans and can't use our degrees.
