We the people ask the federal government to Take or explain a position on an issue or policy:

Offer a one time tax exemption to large contest winnings for incomes less than 75,0000.

Created by B.T. on November 03, 2016

Many lower income people enter contests to win life-changing prizes like cars and homes but end up taking a much lower cash prize because they can't afford to pay taxes on the prize they won. A one-time tax exemption would allow them to enjoy the prize they won instead of a prize they can afford.
