We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Offer postings to military veterans in defense of schools

Created by L.E. on June 28, 2016

We hold it self-evident that the issue with school shootings and, in general, mass shootings has become more frequent but no less serious over the past decade. Because schools are, nation wide, "gun free zones", the ability of concealed carry to provide any sort of protection of to schools of all types is nonexistent. While this policy in of itself helps prevent more school shootings, it also ensures that, if a shooting does occur at school, there is no "backup" to prevent it from being carried out. In response to this, and to the growing issue of veteran unemployment and homelessness, we the people propose that jobs be offered to unemployed veterans which gives them the responsibility of protecting schools so that children may be able to learn in a truly safe environment.
