Offer Student Loan forgiveness to substitute teachers and special program teachers who work in Title 1 Schools for 5 yrs

Created by L.C. on January 22, 2013

Substitute teachers and special program teachers like those who teach after school reading and math or summer school are essential to every school and its success. We ask that the Federal Student Loan forgiveness program offered to full time teachers who work in Title I Schools be also given to these important teachers when they teach at a school for five years. These teachers deserve the same breaks for their student loan debt that the full -time teachers get. Being a great and dependable substitute is just as important to schools and those who also teach summer school and special programs throughout the year enhance the learning and success of our inner city children.
