Offer Tax Incentives for people that live healthier lifestyles or change specific habits to increase their health.

Created by D.W. on November 12, 2012

Encouraging healthy lifestyles is important. Billions are spent on diseases and illnesses that could be prevented.

I propose that the government offers a reward, in the form of a tax incentive for people that maintain a healthy lifestyle or make life changing decisions to improve their own quality of life.

For example; a person with high cholesterol that removes eggs from their diets and makes a marked, identifiable improvement should become eligible for a small incentive.

This would only be for the duration of the change and if a relapse occurs, the incentive is forfeited.
