A mongoose is a fascinating mammal that should be properly recognized by the citizens of the United States. This critter stars in many children tales such as Rikki-tikki-tavi and The Jungle Book. However, this mammal also faces risks as it's own. Many are hunted in Hawaii and are threatened by a loss of territory. This harmless critter should must have more official recognition.
