Every time there is some form of domestic tragedy, some whistleblower, political figure, or news outlet will try to scapegoat violent media. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of scientific studies that have found no links between Violence in media and Violence in real life.
If Media Violence caused Real World Violence, these heinous acts would be performed with chainsaws, samurai swords, and more. Children would be jumping on turtles and consuming mushrooms. Shooters would be emulating the Matrix and doing kung fu flips. There is a great difference between real world and media violence. Lets stop the Scapegoating.
