"TSA deserves GS Status"
We deserve to be paid as federal officers. We're considered front line of defense but not paid at the same rate as other Official federal agencies. We all have families to support but with the cost of living going up every year, food prices, transportation cost, etc. There are some TSA officers that's been employed with TSA for 13yrs. I've been here 11yrs. and within that amount of time our pay was frozen for 5yrs. there's been a government shout down, there is no decent retirement package for us and no pension. There's a "TOPS" program put into place that decides; giving managements personal opinion of you who gets bonuses and raises and who doesn't. All this abuse causes low moral on the job and needs to be addressed ASAP.
