Our current national anthem, "The Star Spangled Banner," is a song whose lyrics focus on a war that we didn't actually win, and whose tune comes from a drinking song of the country that we kicked out. "America the Beautiful" is a song that focuses on America's strengths and its tune is not just moving up and down on a B-flat major scale.
