British Citizen and CNN television host Piers Morgan provided broad media coverage of firearm related tragedies throughout 2012. During this coverage he posed difficult questions to a range of interviewees and provided insightful commentary that continues to stimulate debate on means to prevent similar events in the future. We request that Mr. Morgan be considered for The National Humanities Medal as recognition for this contribution and his courage to continue despite particularly harsh criticism.
