Officially declare the month of June as Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month nationally.

Created by J.S. on April 21, 2016

-President Ronald Reagan recognized the need for Myasthenia Gravis Awareness in Proclamation 5261 in 1984 and today non-profit organizations such as Stomp Out MG, the MGFA, & MDA continue this effort.
-Myasthenia Gravis (MG) is a rare neuromuscular auto-immune disease that causes weakness of all voluntary muscles. The symptoms can be treated with medications however there is no cure and MG can be fatal.
-Roughly 70,000 Americans live with MG, many undiagnosed and untreated due to lack of awareness in the public and professional sectors.
-June is known in the MG community as Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month, and we feel it should be declared on a National level.
