The first four games of the NCAA men's basketball tournament are play in games, and thus the play in round. They are not the first round. It cannot legitimately be a round if 60 of the 68 teams are not competing. We call upon the President, a basketball fan, to condemn the major sports networks and the NCAA for calling the play in round the first round. The first round has been, is still, and always must be, the Thursday-Friday round of 64 teams games.
