officially designate September 11th as "Superheroes Day". In honor of all those who sacrificed that day.

This petition is offered to honor all those who sacrificed their lives and risked their lives, police, firefighters, rescue workers, volunteers, and civilians, and to those who lost their lives during the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. We should call this day, "Superheroes Day" so that people will remember that real superheroes stood up that day. Not a national holiday, but a day of remembrance of what being heroic is all about. I hope if this comes to pass, kids will put on capes and police and firefighter costumes and adults too. Put a big cape on the Statue of Liberty and more. Hoping my colleagues in the comic book industry will contribute with medals and certificates. Superheroes are a huge thing now, and we need to recognize the fact that real superheroes rose to the challenge that day.
