In recent years the DEA, has done nothing but terrorize citizens in an effort to wage a war on drugs. There have been no substantial benefits and or noticeable decrease in use since the task force was first approved in the late 60's. And in more current events with the decriminalization of marijuana in 2 states and 7 more carefully considering the same, we are moving to a point where they are no longer needed. There is no real war on drugs, there is no way of ending drug production and there is no stopping drug use (at least no stopping illegal use). People who are using are also not inherently criminals trying to get a fix, most turn to a criminal life style after becoming a victim of the harsh laws against their habit, let's help them rather than condemn them. In short reform is needed.
