Officially make 9/11 a national holiday/day of rememberance

Created by M.D. on September 11, 2013

Every year the remembrance of the horrific events of September 11th 2001 is included with the honoring of those brave men and women lost in war on Memorial Day. However, many Americans believe 9/11 should be represented and remembered individually from any other holiday in America. Although the victims of this tragic day in United States history are most certainly victims of war, their involuntary sacrifice deserves its own day of nationwide reflection. The terrible incidents of 9/11 affected the world in countless ways including how our great nation is governed, how we interact with other nations across the world and most notably how we as Americans treat each other. I urge all Americans who believe 9/11 should have its own day of remembrance to sign this petition.
