There are many private organizations that lobby for and support basic civil rights. Among them is the National Rifle Association. The NRA has lobbied and supported the right of the people to keep and bear arms for over 184 years.
The NRA fights to to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States as well as the basic tenet of the Declaration of Independance of the unalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happyness.
However the NRA is under constant attack from people who, ironically, took an oath--as I did May 26 1988-- to protect and defend the US Constitution. This Must Not Stand!
I demand that President Obama issue an Executive Order or Presidential memorandum officially recognising the National Rifle Association as a Civil Rights Organization.
