2. As the 1st Amendment gives citizens the right to free speech as the Catholic Church has done.
3. As the Civil Rights Act of 1968 empowers authorities to federally prosecute anyone who "willingly injures, intimidates or interferes with another person, or attempts to do so, by force because of the other person's race, color, religion or national origin."
5. As the petition to declare the Catholic Church a hate group has willingly intimidated Catholics in the United States.
We ask the federal government, and the executive branch to investigate, indict and prosecute those who called for the designation of the Catholic Church as a hate group.
