Officially recognize Carl Sagan and his lifetime of scientific achievements as a national day of rememberence.

In honor of Carl Sagan and his relentless pursuit of education and imagination, we request a national day of rememberence. Carl Sagan was responsible for some of the greatest minds in science and education today. From his cosmos series to his Christmas lectures, Carl never swayed from his determination to spark genuine interest in science and technology in younger generations. He left his special touch on not only individuals, but a whole generation,as well as the voyager spacecraft, the farthest crafts we have sent out into deep space. His devotion to our desire and need for a higher understanding of science and the unknown deserves a special day in the American public as only a few other people in american history have had such a substantial impact this country.
