On June 26th, 2015, the Supreme Court of the United States recognized that it is in violation of the great Constitution of our nation to deny the right to civil marriage to same-sex couples. This victory for liberty was made possible by the hard work of tens of thousands of people committed to righting the injustice of the former status quo. In recognition of ALL of the pioneers of equality on whose shoulders those hardworking people were privileged to stand, June 26th, 2015 should be declared Harvey Milk day.
