Officially recognize Taiwan as a free, Democratic country and oppose any attempts of China to seize control over Taiwan.

The official policy of the U.S. with regards to Taiwan should be one that affirms Taiwan's independence and right to a self-governing democracy. The U.S. should not consider Taiwan to be part of communist China. Taiwan is the world's 19th largest economy and holds the 18th largest GDP. Also, Taiwan is a very important trade partner to the U.S. because unlike communist China, Taiwan doesn't undervalue their currency, or abuse their workforce. The Taiwanese are a great asset to the American economic recovery and deserve our support. If America allows Taiwan to fall, then we might as well start gift wrapping the Pacific.
