By definition bacon is a cured meat from the sides and belly of a pig, having distinct strips of fat and typically served in thin slices. Turkey bacon is only similar in shape. We the people understand that turkey bacon has a place in modern cuisine, but what we have a problem with is the naming of said product. We propose that a new name be given to what is currently referred to as turkey bacon. The current front runner is turkey strips, but we can leave that up to corporations and their marketing departments. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
