In May, 2015 Whitehall, PA mayor Ed Hozza took down the official POW/MIA flag from in front of the township offices and flew, in its place, the national flag of Syria. The move was purely political in nature, and while gaining the favor of local Syrian residents, it served as a major insult to all Americans who have served or are current serving in the armed forces. Ed Hozza needs to realize there are consequences for his action. It went against all that we hold dear as a nation.
