The people of Illinois are not allowed to exercise their right to democracy unless Michael Madigan allows them to do so. He has been allowed to rule the Illinois house and draw the legislative maps for the last thirty years. The people of Illinois would like an independent party to draw fair district maps but Michael Madigan won't even let the people of Illinois have this initiative on the ballot this November even though it is the clear will of the people. We ask that congress look at the unconstitutional practice of legislative map drawing in Illinois and force Madigan and the lawyers and judges he controls to allow the people of Illinois to vote on amendments to our own constitution.
