One Nation Under God

Created by D.S. on August 06, 2015

Our county's pledge of allegiance was written in 1892. "I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." In 1923 "the flag of the United States of America" was added. In 1954 "Under God" was added. The addition of "Under God" is a clear message that the U.S. is supporting religion and that it's acceptable to exclude some U.S. citizens if they are non-religious. Our nation was not founded on a religion. Our founding fathers did not want this. Please remove "Under God" from the U.S. pledge of allegiance.
