One should only be allowed to own a gun if proven for self defense by previous tragedy/incident or reasonable cause.

Created by L.M. on December 24, 2013

The government should only allow one to own a gun if proven for self defense by previous tragedy/incident or reasonable cause. Guns should be monitored in all public places. It would help protect more people, not just by getting a gun license, but even more than that like security checks before going into malls and all schools. Washington Post says that many gun sales have decreased since the Sandy Hook school shooting, more and more people have become worried about leaving guns around. Studies show that 66 percent of shooting are targeted but 67 percent is for self defense(JustFacts.com). In modern American politics, however, much of the gun rights debate has centered on the aspect of using guns for defense of life and property.”(Gun rights and self defense by Ben Garrett).
