I propose we the people discontinue the current length of office for presidency from a possible two term four year presidency, to a single term with a duration of six years. This would eliminate first term policy decisions made out of fear of reprisal for reelection. Furthermore the president would not be distracted from his responsibilities of office while the campaign is going on as he/she is not running at all.
