To assess the organized religions of the United States a short term tax on both donations received and a tax on their property holdings. The purpose of this tax is to eliminate the national debt. With older tax laws weighing heavily in their favor, Religions in this country have continued to prosper through the hard economic times, and all American citizens should demand that they contribute a fair share to fixing our financial woes.
