One year of paid maternity leave

Created by K.G. on July 30, 2016

The first year of a child's life is critical to physical, cognitive, and social development. This movement aims to allow mothers to be with their babies for the first year if they choose, by financially unburdening families who require the mother's income.
Paid maternity leave would also ease the stress of breastfeeding for working mother's, thus increasing the health of mothers and babies in America.
America is one of very few developed countries without paid maternity leave; let's change this for a better tomorrow. One year of paid maternity leave for working mothers! Who's with me?
