Banking institutions MUST halt the practice of allowing people to sign up and order credit cards ONLINE. This practice is contributing to the growing problem of IDENTITY THEFT in our nation. When you bank at a branch office, strict protocols are in place to protect the consumer. Credit cards should only be issued at the banks' branch office where you bank in your community AFTER you go there IN PERSON and AFTER you provide them with 3 or 4 verifiable pieces of personal Identification as PROOF of who you say you are.
