Only accept sustainable foods for EBT (food stamp) purchases. No candy, soda, or junk food.

Created by M.K. on November 25, 2012

I'm a laborer that enrolls with the Pennsylvania EBT program. I found it odd that you could buy junk like gum, candy, and soda with food stamps. Those are not sustainable, nor are they healthy. Items like that should be denied just as hot, prepared food is. Taxpayers helped John Doe buy four large energy drinks and a bag of Doritos with his benefits card earlier today. This is unacceptable. Food purchased through food stamps should be sustain human well being, not degrade it with garbage.
