Only allow Congress to earn the Federal Minimum Wage of $7.25 per hour that went into effect July 24, 2009.

Created by M.R. on August 10, 2014

To better familiarize the congress with the plight of the working poor that are working for minimum wage and living below the poverty line, congress should make no more, and their staff should make no more than the federal minimum wage of 7.25 per hour, and not to exceed $15,080 annually. And as any other American, they should be required to buy their health care at the same exchanges and rates that they have set up in their state. And unless the elected official is a veteran, they should not receive free medical care at a military base or VA medical facility. There should be no free parking, exercise facilities, dining facilities, or barber shops. Most importantly there should be NO PENSION benefits.
