Food stamp program was initially started to provide the staples for a kitchen. Meat, potatoes, fruit, vegetables, breads and dairy products.
It has become a program that subsidizes obesity and causes the Medicaid and Medicare program to be bogged down with higher medical costs due to obesity.
The children whose parents are on this program deserve healthy food, and need to eat healthy to be healthy and productive citizens and be able to concentrate in school.
No more Krispey Kremes and Red Bull for these children who deserve better.
