By allowing the Postal Service to cease deliveries on Mondays, Saturday services will still be available for those who need them, and even more savings can be gained by not having to pay postal employees for Federal holidays which fall on Mondays. An added benefit would be that citizens would never have to go three days in a row without deliveries on those holidays.
