only allow prior service members of the military of 3 or more years to hold public office in the U.S.A.

There should be no citizen of the United States of America to hold any public office (e.g. mayor, govenor, congress, and etc..) with out prior military service of no less than three consecutive years. Citizens already holding office should be allowed to finish their terms and retain the entitlements earned in their public service and then be barred from any further holdings of public office.This would allowed the nations top one percent of Americans to continue to serve their country after they have already shown the ulitmate commitment to lay down their lives if needed for their country. And it would make sure that any one person in public office has shown their fullest commitment to the country by serving in its protection before working to maintain its morals, ethics, and laws
