I love my country and I am proud to be an american, but I am completely outraged of the thought that many states have decided to choose the veils of ignorance over standing united as a country. I believe these petitions for succession are completely absurd as they do not speak for ALL of the people in these particular states. I live in Georgia and I find it scary that my state was on the list for states wanting to secede. In all honesty, we need to stand united as a country and have respect for everyone. It is really ironic that many of the states that are under federal review, rely heavily on government monies. In the end, I feel the first step to stopping these petitions start with the rule of only letting the people who live in the purposed state sign them.
